Trip Sac is more than just a travel bag—it’s a story stitched from passion, purpose, and vibrant global inspiration. At the heart of the brand is founder Dee Ritter, a lifelong creator who learned to sew at just nine years old during summer visits to her aunt’s house in Chicago. That early love for craftsmanship stayed with her through the years, even as she pursued a degree in Drafting Engineering and launched a successful 23-year career as a Software Engineer in the finance, retail, and healthcare industries.
In 2023, during a life-changing trip to Ghana, Dee’s creative spark was reignited. While exploring bustling markets, she discovered the rich textures and brilliant colors of Ankara fabric—a high-quality, waterproof textile with bold, limited-edition prints and a silky feel that she instantly fell in love with. She searched for a travel bag made from this stunning fabric, hoping to bring one home to share a piece of her journey with loved ones. But despite exploring markets across Ghana and West Africa, she couldn’t find a bag that met her standards for design and quality.
So—she created it herself.
Dee combined her technical background, deep love for sewing, and eye for detail to design her dream travel bag. With premium accessories, practical design specs, and high-end craftsmanship, the Trip Sac was born. After personally sewing hundreds of prototypes, testing them through a soft launch, and refining every detail based on real feedback, Trip Sac moved into full-scale manufacturing.
Today, Trip Sac operates primarily as a wholesale brand, partnering with select retailers and industry buyers. However, we do occasionally offer limited-edition bags through exclusive retail flash sales by invitation only. Each Trip Sac bag is a celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and individuality—just like the woman who created it.
